New Zealand Adventures

Our family has been lucky enough to enjoy lots of adventures throughout New Zealand. Here are our highlights!

Year 5/6 Woodend Christian Camp

“We thought we might get a nice video montage - we got way more! Heather knows what she is doing! By asking a few questions she got to know our Kura and the objectives of our camp allowing her to know what shots to look for, and what questions to ask to get golden responses from students that added to the relevance and magnetism of the final product. The kids loved being on camera and all wanted a turn with the Go Pro. As much of a hit the video was after the camp - I'm most looking forward to watching the kids' reaction when we reshow it at their leaver's dinner in three year's time! Thanks Heather!”

Transition to School

This video was created to explain the transition to school experience at Pegasus Bay.

The video was designed so that both parents and their children could get a glimpse into what school would be like when they started. It included interviews with parents, pupils and teachers.

“Heather offers a professional yet personable experience that captures the essence of what you do in the moment so you can share it with others. It is an authentic account caught on film, not something superficially constructed.

This has been a valuable tool for our prospective whānau, and for our new tamariki to see what school life in our Peka Peka environment is really like. Tamariki have settled quickly because they have connected with kaiako visually and know expectations as they have watched the video numerous times before starting their transition visits.

Thank you Heather for your creativity and expertise. ”

School Celebrations

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a number of school celebrations in 2021 could not be attended by whānau.

We filmed the end of year prize giving and kapa haka celebrations for two schools. The schools shared the videos with whānau both in New Zealand and overseas.

Due to privacy restrictions we cannot show the full length videos that we produced for these celebrations. However our highlights reel for one of the schools can be seen running behind the top banner on the St Peter's School website.

“Dear Heather and Greg,

Tonight has been so special. You've made so many families so happy. The Christmas spirit is here and I loved every second. Some absolutely golden moments for the 21st parties here...!

Thank you. We couldn't be happier.”

Sarah, Principal, St Peter's School

Vanessa

This is a video that I wished we'd never needed to make.

Using the footage that had been taken of my sister Vanessa over her life, we created a short film that was played at her memorial service to serve as a memory of the many incredible experiences she packed into her short life.

“It’s the most wonderful memorial of a life well lived. I was in tears within seconds! ”
